MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Bright Learners Family,
I am absolutely honored and excited to be a part of the Bright Learners family. It is my intention to dedicate myself to cultivating a loving, caring, and nurturing environment for all learners. With my 20+ years of experience in education, I plan to build upon the wonderful contributions of Dr. Adrianna by continuing our vision of providing innovative and inspired learning for self, for change, for all. Together, we will challenge ourselves to raise the level of student achievement and accelerate academic progress.
Bright Learners is now in the 2nd year of our educational journey and whilst we re-imagine 21st century education we will also further establish our school identity. We are an American Curriculum school with strong Islamic values and a true sense of connectedness to our local community. Together, we will foster a learning environment where every child has access, every child feels included, every child is protected, and every child is developed holistically.
Our intention is to let our Mission and Vision serve as our compass to guide our strategic planning and decision making. With your support, we will cultivate global citizens that are inquirers, self-directed, knowledgeable, critical thinkers, and great communicators. With a student-centered and inclusive approach to learning, we strive to ensure educational equity by challenging every child appropriate to their abilities.
Bright Learners is unique in that it provides an authentic American education, with experienced American teachers, for an affordable price. Consequently, the Bright Learners family is growing rapidly with new learners from all over the world eager to reach their fullest potential. Our very diverse and nurturing team of professionals welcomes every child and our philosophy is to use evidence-based instructional strategies that impact growth. At Bright Learners, we believe learning is most successful when teachers see learning through the eyes of their students and students see themselves as their own teachers. We assess our effectiveness on the basis of results, specifically development of the whole child and academic achievement.
As a professional learning community, our focus is on learning, and we operate with a culture of collaboration and a results orientation. The professional learning community is not a program, it is a process that has an ongoing impact on the structure and culture of the school. It is an ongoing process in which educators work collaboratively in recurring cycles of collective inquiry and action research to achieve better results for the students they serve. With this in place, our teachers are able to continually refine their expertise and together design what is to be next best practice.
Details for our first meet and greet with parents and Bright Learners’ families will be coming soon.
At our core, we believe all students can learn, and all learning is social and emotional.
Our future is BRIGHT!
