KG 2 - Ms. Noshida

My name is Ms. Noshida and I am a KG2 teacher at Bright Learners Private School. I have been teaching in the UAE for the past 11 years. I have taught in an American school for the last 7 years and I have been blessed to be selected as Educator of the Year for Early Years Education in the School Nujoom awards.
I grew up in Houston, Texas and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
I believe Kindergarten 2 is an important time of transition for children. I build a safe and comforting connection with my children from day one and begin our Kindergarten journey by making it bright, fun, and hands-on. I believe, ‘when you engage a child’s body, you engage a child’s mind.’ I try to do just that with lots of excitement, fun activities, story times and a sense of belonging. That is why my motto is, “You Belong!” In my class, we all welcome each other with big smiles and open hearts. I model this for my children everyday as they walk in every morning.
My motto is not something I necessarily say aloud everyday to my students, but rather something which guides how I make decisions. I believe that early year’s classroom is a place where a devoted teacher can bring out the best piece of herself and feed it to the child’s heart and mind every day. Routine, love, discipline, consistency, setting small goals and making them feel like rock stars is my key. I believe in my children and let them put their trust in me by showing them my loyal, promising, and happy actions and gestures, which have them believe that ‘They Belong.’
I firmly believe in keeping the mind and body healthy. We will be eating healthy in my classroom, lots of fun exercises and meditation!
I can’t wait to play, learn and grow with you!
